Public Groups in Salesforce

Step-by-Step Tutorial

The first thing you’ll need to do is head into setup.

So click on the gear icon then into setup.

Next, search for public groups in the quick find.

Then click on public groups.

Once in public groups click new.

Then you’ll need to add in the label and API name for the public group.

After that you’ll be able to add in users or other groups into this new group.

Once done click save.

Double-check that your new group is on the list of public groups.

Now you can use this new group to share records or communicate with!

The screenshot below is an example of sharing a record with this new group.
